This steel and cedar pavillion is designed to cantilever over the edge of an award winning design by Morris Architects in which an existing oil rig is converted into a hotel.  The mesh column that transcends the core of the pavilion has motion activated fiber optics that illuminate with the wind currents, mirroring the vast oceanic environmen and celebrating the exposed nature of the structure.
